Class Descriptions
Perfect for the beginner who has never stepped on a yoga mat and the advanced practitioner alike, Mysore-style, named for the city in south India, is a self-paced yoga class wherein students receive individualized instruction in a group setting. Beginners receive more instruction.
In this yoga class, a teacher guides all students together up through navasana in the Primary Series, followed by backbends and closing postures. This class is conducted in the traditional Sanskrit count.
Strength for Ashtanga is a mix of yoga asana and calisthenics that is designed to build the foundational strength that is helpful for advancing in your Ashtanga practice. All levels are welcome, but be prepared to sweat.
Appropriate for all levels of practitioner, and offered when a New Moon or Full Moon [link Moon Days page] falls on a weekday, Moon Day Yin Yoga is a class wherein certain yoga poses are held for a longer duration of time.
